The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has cleared all non-performing loans it had previously sold to the Viet Nam Asset Management Company (VAMC).
Settlement of bad debts is expected to improve this year as many banks plan to buy back all the non-performing loans (NPLs) they had sold to the Viet Nam Asset Management Company (VAMC).
The Government has directed the State Bank of Viet Nam to focus on the settlement of non-performing loans in 2019 with the aim of bringing the NPL ratio of credit institutions to below 2 per cent.
